Cars encompass two-axle passenger vehicles and trucks weighing 7,000 lbs or less. This category includes SUVs, self-propelled mobile homes, ambulances, hearses, and vehicles with seating for up to 15 adults plus the driver. Additional axles incur a fee of $4.54 for NYCSC E-ZPass users ($4.71 for Tolls By Mail, $4.67 Mid-tier) at all crossings, except for $3.40 for NYCSC E-ZPass ($3.53 Tolls by Mail, $3.50 Mid-tier) at Henry Hudson, Cross Bay, and Marine Parkway Bridges.
E-ZPass rates are applicable exclusively to NYCSC E-ZPass customers. NYCSC Tags are issued by The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, The New York State Thruway Authority, and MTA Bridges and Tunnels. Non-NYCSC customers are subject to Tolls by Mail rates.
Special conditions apply for E-ZPass New York Customer Service Center (NYCSC) Customers not utilizing their properly mounted NYCSC E-ZPass Tag, for Crossing Charges posted to NYCSC E-ZPass Accounts based on License Plates, and for NYCSC Third-Party Account Providers.
Staten Island Residents who hold NYCSC E-ZPass accounts benefit from the MTA’s Staten Island Resident Rebate Program, offering an effective toll rate of $2.75. If the rebate program discontinues, qualifying E-ZPass accounts will be charged a $3.90 toll. To learn more about Staten Island Resident programs, dial 1-800-333-TOLL. Vehicles must be registered at a valid resident address in Staten Island. Please note that commercial vehicles are ineligible for residency plans, and residency status undergoes periodic review.
For NYCSC E-ZPass account holders seeking a resident discount plan, vehicles must be registered at a valid resident address in Staten Island or the Rockaways/Broad Channel.
